When Steve contacted me to do a Impromptu family portrait session, I was excited, since they are close personal friends. I knew I had to do a great job. Being that this was for his mother & father’s anniversary (and a surprise), I was unsure of what to expect. His mother wanted fall colors as a backdrop. Other than that she was game for anything. One small problem, the weather in Rochester is anything but predictable, I wasn’t sure if it would cooperate. About 2/3rd’s of the way through the shoot the sun looked to be basically gone. But it peaked its face out once last time to light up the trees in the background and really make the colors pop. So I took advantage of that last little window of sun light. The sun was fading and the temperature followed, but these guys are no wimps. Check out this lovely family portrait.
I am still working on getting into a particular creative zone. I know what I like from my own work when I see it and conversely I know when I dont. I am always trying to make the times I do out weigh the times I dont, its a work in progress… Here is one I like that has a certain edge to it. Hope you like it too.
